Polish Genealogical Society of America Extensive information about all aspects of Polish genealogy (history, maps, heraldry, ships/immigrations, data base). Be sure to see their page on other Polish Genealogical Societies for local organizations for specific states or areas.	Cyndi's List of Genealogy Sites on the Internet is an amazing compilliation of over 243,000 links on a huge array of topics. Prepare to spend several days here! Or go straight to her list of sites related to Poland.	INPASSA! Polish Origins Zenon and Magda Znamirowski will organize actual or virtual tours of your ancestral villages in Poland. Based in Warsaw, they specialize in the area to the east (Lublin, Chelm) and southeast (Rzeszow). Zenon helped Nancy Maciolek Blake with her research in Poland (see article 4).
Federation of East European Family History Societies The Federation of East European Family History Societies (FEEFHS) was organized in 1992 as an umbrella organization that promotes family research in eastern and central Europe without any ethnic, religious, or social distinctions. Be sure to look at their member webpages list for links to specific member organizations.	Polish Roots presents research materials and services such as SurnameSearch™, which allows users to register surnames they are researching. Here you can subscribe to GenDobry!, the newsletter written by William "Fred" Hoffman, and check articles devoted to history, heraldry, immigration, maps, and more.	RootsPoland is based in Warsaw and offers many services. At Tad's companion website, you can post a photo or an image of a document and ask for help in translating or understanding the image. A Village Cluster is a website devoted to tracing the Carpatho-Rusyn emigrants from a group of five villages near Gorlice in southeastern Poland.	Genealogy and Poland from PolishRoots A guide to how to search Polish roots, how to locate ancestors in Poland, links to Polish libraries, archives, maps, genealogical societies. Online surnames databases, newsgroups. Join the POLAND-ROOTS mailing list.	Polish Ancestry services offered by Magdalena Pospieszna is based in Gorzow Wielkopolsk in the area that was part of Germany prior to 1945. Magdalena offers to help people with either German or Polish ancestry. Some of the towns and cities in this part of Poland include: Chojna, Choszczno, Debno, Stargard, Pyrzyce, Szczcecin, Mysliborz, Kostrzyn, Gorzow, Miedzychod, Miedzyrzecz, Poznan, Skwierzyna, Swiebodzin, Sulechow, Krosno, and Zielona Gora.
Many cities and towns had German names at one time. There are several websites that can give you the German name along with the Polish name: Kartenmeister has the most comprehensive list. Kaszubia.com Anna Sluszkiewicz compiled this list. German names for Polish towns is useful for those researching in this area.	Poland Border Surnames email list is a surname-based mail list for those researching genealogy in the former historical borders of Poland including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, the Balkans, West Prussia and East Prussia. Tina Ellis, who has her own website at http://maxpages.com/poland brings a remarkably deep understanding of genealogical research to answer questions from people researching this area.	Polish American Genealogy Enterprises This research team based in Krakow, Poland, "will travel to your ancestors town or city to locate your family’s Church and search through their records to trace your family history back as far as documented."

Genealogia Polska Rafala Degiela Interesting website that teaches you how to start searching for roots, but it is available only in Polish. Many interesting articles, for instance about the creation of Polish surnames. Includes links to Polish Archives	Polish Poland offers genealogical services as well as tours, language lessons, and agro-tourism accomodations. They are located in the western part of the country, and specialize in the following provinces: Lubuskie, Wielkopolskie, Dolnoslaskie and Zachodniopomorskie
	Find Friends and Family This free service for people seeking friends and family that came from or live in Poland has been on line since 1995. It has helped many people reestablish contact with loved ones and has helped many others build their family trees. In some cases the final resting places of lost relatives have been found. You can post your message and genealogy links here.	PolandPoland This site focuses on providing photographs and brief outlines of locations in the former German territories now part of present day Poland.
